Best Electrical are looking to recruit an Assistant Electrical Qualified Supervisor to assist with the day to day running of the compliance division. You would be expected to have a good working knowledge of the BS7671 and NICEIC guidelines.
The successful candidate would be expected to provide support and report directly to the current Qualified supervisor, assist the on-site testing and inspection engineers with technical support and help with the generation of electrical certification and reports.
You would be expected to assist in the completion of certification for all fixed wire, PAT, Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm testing. Training shall be provided on how to use our electrical certification software and our internal job management software. Your roles will include: -
- Carrying out site surveys were required to ascertain the volume of testing required.
- Preparing site packs ready for the periodic inspections and or planned maintenance visits.
- Upon completion of the testing the certificates will be returned to the office, collated and checked by you.
- Your assistance maybe required from time to time with the preparation of any quotations that may arise following inspections.
- You would carry out random retests to completed works as a quality control exercise.
The candidate should be fully conversant with the 17th edition, should hold as a minimum the city and guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification. Proof of health and safety training would be required. A good understanding of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems would be preferred but is not essential. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate should be well presented and have excellent people skills.
A company vehicle would be made available during normal working hours, should a company vehicle not be available you would be reimbursed for any travel expenses incurred.
Proof of qualification will be required along with references from previous employment.
It would be preferred if the candidate lived within a 15 mile radius of our office in Stevenage.
